This is a factory replacement hammer pin for the VR80. It is made from heat treated steel and is splined for a secure fit.

Maybe or maybe not!
I thought this would be a good addition to my VR80 and liked the feature of changing chokes without removing the comp. It works well with a big "IF". It must be the only thing that you are threading onto the barrel threads. The factory set screw is machined too far forward from rear of comp, appears undersized and there should probably be two setscrews set 90 degrees apart.
